I'm trying to find a telnet client for my Samsung Saga, and having no luck. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? Thanks!

I find that PuTTY works well on my Smartphone, though I do know blackberry brands have issues with running the program. Anything that runs Windows Mobile should have no issues running the program.
It's a raw version of Telnet, so it's still a bit of a pain for typing if you have several conversations going on at once, but... I still find it a good way to connect. I know there's also suppose to be a Smartphone version of Simplemu, but your required to pay for it, so I've never made use of it.

Hope this helps. :)

Not to totally necro an old thread, but has anybody used either of the two iphone MU* client apps? They're both pay, and they looked to be somewhat lacking to me, so I was wondering if anybody had any experience with either of them. I know you can just use the shell on a jailbroken one, but it introduces all kinds of odd lag.

Thoughts, anyone?

I use TouchTerm (paid for) on my iPhone to get into my shell. You don't need a jailbroken one to ssh/telnet to a shell.

The MU apps look like they're more targeted for MUDs, but I guess MuMaster doesn't look so bad? I wouldn't buy it though. Shell access gives me more flexibility even if TouchTerm is more expensive.

Not that I ever PLAY via my iPhone, but I do use MUDMaster to check in, and so far it seems to be a pretty nice little program. Clean, quick, easy to use, full keyboard and so on. It's certainly a hell of a lot better than raw telnet straight from a computer!

Time to drag this up to the light of day again! My SO has been trying to find a good telnet client for the Android OS, and I'm looking to buy a Palm, so I'm trying to locate a client for Palm's WebOS. Anyone have suggestions for either system?

A couple days ago I downloaded AndroMUD for my Droid and it is wicked awesome, for a smartphone app. It has triggers and timers and logging! By far the best smartphone M* app I've seen on any platform. And it was free! Even better! :D

Does anyone know why AndroMUD isn't showing up in the market anymore?

What phone are you using? I'be got an HTC Hero that runs the Android OS. Could that be why? I'd there a way you could give me the link cause when I search the market for AndroMUD, it comes back as not found ... don't know what I might be doing wrong.

Does anyone know how to get andro mud to actually work? It keeps saying something about a mud file?

I don't think I had to do anything to get AndroMUD working for me... I added the server, and now, when I click, connect, it says 'mud file not found, creating new one' and then goes straight on in, if I don't cancel it.

It continues to tell me that it is an unknown host. I'm convinced I've put everything in correctly.
